About

Dr. Augustine Chung was born and raised in Los Angeles, before going away for his undergraduate studies, public health school, medical school, and residency training. He returned to Los Angeles to embark on his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at UCLA, which he completed in 2017 and went on to remain as faculty.

Dr. Chung sees patients with a wide variety of pulmonary conditions, including but not limited to interstial lung disease, sarcoidosis, asthma, emphysema, pulmonary nodules, and pneumonia. His research focus is in Interstitial Lung Disease, and he has been a practitioner in the multidisciplinary UCLA Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic since 2014, He sees patients in the UCLA Burbank and Westwood locations.

He is currently the Pulmonary Director of the Connective Tissue Disease-Interstitial Lung Disease (CTD-ILD) Clinic and the Associate Director of the Interstitial Lung Disease Clinic. He lectures in the medical school and teaches trainees at UCLA on the topic of Interstitial Lung Disease, which is his area of research and expertise.
